San Francisco: a never ending hill

I’m in San Francisco this week for the NetSquared conference. I arrived yesterday to meet up with Billy and Gina (who are both lovely, by the way). Our plan was initially to head to winecamp, but as it turns out, the napa valley is far away. So we went hiking in Marin county instead. It was insanely beautiful.

Once we were done with Mount Tam (birthplace of modern mountain biking), we drove in to San Fran to have dinner at a loverly vegan restaurant called cafe gratitude. We had super-fun remixing the strange menu names (everything was called ‘I am …’, like ‘I am honest’ and ‘I am generous’) as though we were actually dining at the cafe ingrate (I am angry inside!). It’s nice coming to SF to meet with these folks that I have sorta met already as we’ve been working remotely. It’s like you get to be insta-friends, cuz you already have a rapport with one another.

Once Billy & Gina dropped me at my hotel, I went out walking to see what I could see. San Fran (or at least the area where I was staying) is impossibly hilly. It made me want so badly to climb to the top to get a good view. Only, the problem is, there is no top. No matter how high I climbed (and I climbed really high!), there was always more to go. It was frustrating and funny and then it was dark and I went back to the hotel and made a website for myself (hey, by the way, whaddya think??)

What a nice looking web page. Thank you for posting your quest online. I like knowing what you’re up to.
