Hi, thanks for visiting my site. Here’s a bit about me:
I’m a Vancouverite, and like most Vancouverites I’m actually from Ontario. But I’ve been here in Vancouver since 1999, so it’s starting to feel like home.
By day I’m a Web Services Consultant for Social Signal, a local company that specializes in using web2.0 tools to build online communities for nonprofit and social change organizations. I spend most of my time building and configuring community sites on the world’s greatest, most frustratingly sublime open source CMS: drupal.
I love my job. Here’s two recent sites I’ve worked on: NetSquared: a resource center to help nonprofits learn to use the social web, and ChangeEverything.ca: a social networking site focused on facilitating change in the lives of people in the Lower Mainland. For more information on my work or the work of Social Signal in general, check out our website: http://socialsignal.com.
By night/weekend, I play music, make movies, water my vegetable garden & hang out. I have a wonderful girlfriend of almost 5 years (that’s how long we’ve been together, not how old she is) & I have the best community of friends in the whole city. I ride my bicycle everywhere and I love to camp.
Here’s some links to sites that I’m involved with:
- athousandtimesno.com (the awesome band I play with)
- One Tiny Whale (the movie gig my friends & I run)
- Vitamin Bike (the stop-motion movie/s Todd & I mad/k/e)
- Social Signal (my awesome place of employment)
- My flickr account (find pics of me & my friends)
- My Linked In profile (a social networking tool I like to use)
Thanks again for visiting my site. Hope you had fun!
