Everyone's favorite closet wonderband athousandtimesno has recently been asked to compose, perform & record the music for an album of web2.0-related songs to be written by our pal, Rob Cottingham.
(Special note to Evan: Rob asked if we want to compose, perform & record the music for an album of web2.0-related songs he wants to write. Whaddya think?)

Well, I’m proud to say that I’m ashamed to say that after 23 weeks 1 day the website is finally sort of good enough to be pretty okay enough to show people. So, feast your eyes! Have a look around! And when you find the broken things, think of them as tiny secret treasures that nobody wants to hear about. Huzzah!

Huzzah! What the heck took so long? It's definitely me. I'm not lazy. I worked so hard on it. Still, it took forever. And ever. And ever. (Well, I'm sure I don't have to tell you, dear reader — you're the one who's been waiting.) It's still not what I/we want it to be, but Evan finally threatened to beat the crap out of me with laser sticks if I/we didn't get it done. So, at long last, we lift the veil on the treasuredome! Music Video!

Sunday saw a thousand times no recording our first ever music video. What glorious fun times! We shot ‘clozer’ in death-defying ’super-8′, like all the pros. (Actually, super-8 is more like what your mom’s uncle used to tape your aunt’s wedding. She’s since divorced (3 times!) and he’s going deaf, and anyway, we have their camera. We used it this weekend to help us make the best video ever.)
On Forgetting, Overdubbing, and the Beatles

One of the big ideas that we have as a band is that we forget.
I’m not kidding. That’s our big idea: we forget. And that’s a problem. We forget what last year was like, we forget all those great ideas we had, we forget the songs we used to know. And once we’ve forgotten these things, they never come back. They’re gone forever. So we set out as a band to document these things, to record them, to make records of them, so we don’t forget. (This might seem like a very basic concept to other people, but we’re kinda thick, so we’re pretty proud of it.)
